Tim Dinter
Tim Dinter, born in 1971, is both fascinated and suspicious of the precipitation with which the former east areas of Berlin are being reconstructed. Having moved to Berlin to study at the Kunsthochschule Weissensee, his first apartment was situated on the border between Wedding and Mitte (areas previously split by the wall) at which point he felt he had been transferred into a melancholy Wim Wenders film. Dinter’s works accordingly reflect a similar atmosphere to Wenders’ moving pictures and photographs.
